JavaFit Brings Branded Functional Coffees To Vending Plans To Add Pod, K-Cup, RTD Formats To Fraction-Packs

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL - Javalution is rapidly expanding the variety and reach of its JavaFit fortified coffee line with the introduction of new coffees, a branded vending program and the upcoming launch of Keurig K-Cups and pods of its products.

JavaFit is also rapidly expanding its distribution and expects to have national coverage by the end of 2008.

Launched five years ago in retail and health clubs, the company’s first two products were functional coffees, one with high-energy appeal and the other fortified with fat-burning ingredients. Now serving a broader customer base, including convenience stores and, most recently, vending and OCS, Javalution has added two new coffees, formulated to boost the immune system and enhance mental focus, to deliver a range of products that meet consumers’ varied functional needs.

The flagship JavaFit functional coffees are Energy Extreme, with green tea extract (the antioxidant epigallocatechin gallate, EGCG ) and 62 mg. of caffeine; and Diet Plus, featuring the active ingredient Advantra Z. They are joined by Immune, enhanced with immune-boosting echinacea and 12 vitamins and minerals; and Focus, formulated with mind-enhancing Alpha GPC and multivitamins. The full-bodied taste of each blend, made with 100% Arabica beans from Latin America, is consistent throughout the product line

Javalution is now offering its four JavaFit coffee varieties in roast ground format packed in bulk 1-lb. bags for use in fresh-brew vending machines, supported by high-impact point-of-sale graphics that draw attention to the brand. The bulk packages join the company’s full line of fraction-packs for classic drip brewers, available in 2-oz. and 2.5-oz. weights for office coffee and appropriate manual services.

By the end of 2008, Javalution said it will roll out all of its functional coffees in Keurig K-Cups, as well as pods. The company also anticipates the launch of a full line of ready-to-drink fortified coffees by year’s end.

The Javalution line is supported by a wide variety of point-of-sale aids, including hanging signs and banners, supplement cards, glass pot collars, pump toppers, counter cards, posters/tri-folds, loyalty cards and buttons.

Javalution has revamped its website to better serve its distribution partners and JavaFit consumers.

International Coffee Sensation JavaFit Creating a Buzz on the Virginia Tech Campus

Collegiate Launch is JavaFit’s First Entry into On-Campus Marketing

JavaFit Coffee, the first performance gourmet coffee, will introduce its brand to Southwest Virginia by giving Virginia Tech students the first chance to see what the buzz is all about. On Thursday, March 13, 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. JavaFit will give away free samples at GBJ café in the Johnson Student Center, along with free bagels, games, giveaways, and a chance to win a $500 gift certificate to the VT Bookstore.

“Students and coffee are a natural match, so we’re excited to introduce our specialized blends to the students at Virginia Tech,” says Scott Pumper, President of JavaFit. “The GBJ café on campus provides a wonderful atmosphere on campus for students to hang out and relax with a cup of coffee. We have no doubt that JavaFit, with its unique health impacts, will be a hit here for a long time.”

JavaFit’s distributor, Quality Coffee Company of Roanoke, is betting that the coffee will catch on with students, since it’s pumped with key extra ingredients like antioxidants, calcium, and (of course) caffeine.

“If you’re going to drink coffee for that morning pick-me-up or a late night study session, why not add a few things that are good for you?,” says Mike Dowdy, Quality Coffee’s Director of Sales. The flavor is the same as other high quality brews, but drinkers of the higher caffeine products may notice an additional buzz. The March 13th event is open to the public and is student-sponsored by the Virginia Tech chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America, whose members have launched Facebook invitations, banners, and will be rallying students to the join the fun. PRSSA Firm Advisor Kayleigh Turner says the chapter members have truly embraced the campaign as a fun and exciting learning opportunity.

“This has really been a terrific experience for us,” says Turner. “Those of us who are involved with PRSSA want to gain a better understanding public relations. Having the opportunity to help market JavaFit on our campus has given us a great hands-on experience to learn from.”

Students are invited to show off their rock star skills by playing Xbox 360’s RockBand on a 60 inch television at the Café and will be given custom designed JavaFit lanyards (in Tech colors with an oversized V and T—JaVafiT) and buy-five-get-one-free loyalty cards while supplies last. WFNR Hot 100.7 D.J. Don Walker will provide music and entertainment and one lucky student will receive a $500 gift card to the VT Bookstore. JavaFit marketing director Alison Schwartz will draw the winning entry at 3 p.m.
